Although the majority of our
work experience is located in
Marin County, our work has also
taken us throughout the Bay
Area, California, and as far as
Boston, Denver, Houston,
Dallas, Phoenix and Fairfield,
Virginia.

We are a small firm of eight
people. Don Olsen, the principle of
the firm, is a registered architect
with over 40 years experience.
Five intern-architects/designers,
with experience ranging from two
years to eight years, work with
Don to help him realize the
dreams of our clients. We have a
part-time office manager/
receptionist who has worked with
Don for over 25 years, and our
part-time bookkeeper has worked
with Don since shortly after the
establishment of the firm in 1963.

Pluto is our office cat.

Don Olsen has lived and raised his
family in Marin County since the
1960's, and he has observed the
cultural and environmental
changes that have occurred in this
area over the years. His
knowledge and experience as an
architect during these times have
given him a great deal of insight
and sensitivity that prove valuable
to any project in Marin County.

Donald K. Olsen, AIA

A graduate of the University of
Oklahoma, Don is registered in the
states of California, Colorado, Arizona,
Virginia and Texas. Don Olsen has been
principal and president of Donald K. Olsen
and Associates since the firm's inception
in 1963.

A member of the American Institute of
Architecture, he has developed special
expertise in single-family and multi-family
residences, the renovation of historic
structures, waterfront development, and
community planning.

Since 1963, the Sausalito office
of Donald K. Olsen and Associates
has generated creative
responses to our client's needs.
